toward things sunk in the deep earth and dark shadow elicits my intense and very real fear of the caves and the underground I read so much about while researching prehistoric art. I have this limitless fascination with something that is so inaccessible to me due to my own fears. There is a disconnect between these two pieces, they will never quite touch, but they attraction and the reach is nevertheless persistent.
